Language service providers that use SDL Trados usually send their freelance translators a translation package containing the files to be translated, one or more translation memories (TM), and one or more termbases. This translation package has the extension .SDLPPX and serves a similar function to Wordfast Pro 4's .GLP package file.

To extract translatable files, simply change the extension from .SDLPPX to .ZIP, unzip the package, and import the .SDLXLIFF file(s) into a Wordfast Pro 4 project. Make sure the language codes of your Wordfast project match the language codes of the .SDLXLIFF file. If you are not sure, you can always open up the SDLXLIFF file with a text editor and you will see the language codes in the first or second line of the file.
