Wordfast Pro 5 uses the open-source Hunspell spellchecker by default.
If you have a Windows PC with MS Office installed (sorry this doesn’t work yet on Mac), you can change the default to the MS Office spellchecker. To change your spellchecker:
- Open the Preferences.
- Under General Preferences, click on Spellchecker.
- Choose the Microsoft Office spellchecker.
- Click on OK.
NOTE:
When you install Wordfast Pro 5, you may not have installed the language packs for your particular language. If Wordfast says there is no language pack installed for your language, go to the Help tab and click on the Wordfast Pro Update icon. Choose your language pack(s), then click on Update.
New: Bing Spellchecker
Users now have the option to use Bing spellchecker. However, users need to opbtain their own API key from the MS Azure marketplace.
