Answer: There is no function/button/menu option labelled 'Import TMX' in Wordfast Classic or Wordfast Pro. However, both support the TMX format (as long as it is valid):

• in Wordfast Classic: copy the TMX memory you want to use in any folder, then use the Select TM button to open it: it will be converted on-the-fly to the native Wordfast format and a file with the same name, but the .TXT extension will be created in the same folder.
• in Wordfast Pro: copy the TMX memory you want to use in any folder, then select Translation Memory > New/Select TM > Open; it will be converted on-the-fly to the native Wordfast format and a file with the same name, but the .TXT extension will be created in the same folder.

If - for some reason - Wordfast (Classic or Pro) cannot open a given TMX memory, you can use Olifant, a free TM editor (Windows only) that supports the Wordfast format:

• Open the TMX file in Olifant via File > Open (or File > Import)
• Convert the memory to the Wordfast format via File > Save as (or File > Export)
